Hoo Yee Noodle House

Banmian is a culinary dish that is popular in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. It consists of egg noodles served in a flavorful soup, often with some type of meat or fish, vegetables and various spices. The meal is considered one of the healthier food choices and can be found for sale by restaurants, street vendors and food stalls in the region. The base of the entire meal is a soup, so there are numerous variations in ingredients, stocks and noodle shapes. In many instances, the completed soup is topped with an egg that is cooked in the hot liquid above the noodles.

In Medan itself, open a Restaurant which sell only one menu of Banmian. Hoo Yee Noodle House located at Jalan Palang Merah d/h Suka Mulia No. 4 Medan, serving the authentic Ban Mian which has the closer taste to the one in Malaysia.

This small food stall open from 10am - 9pm everyday except on Thursday. The place is quite comfy with a limited seats.

Spicy Pan Mee ( IDR 26 )
This homemade flat egg noodle without preservatives served with Hoo Yee signature crispy chilli, poached egg, spring onion, minced pork, and crispy biku. Mixed all the ingredients and it taste fantastic.

Ice Teh Tarik ( IDR 15 )
This teh tarik is one of the best in town. The teh tarik do not serve sickly sweet with the right balance of tea flavour and the creaminess of the condensed milk.

Ice Soya Milk ( IDR 15 )
The soya milk was just right, not too sweet, but kinda not my favorite.

This noodle house is worth a visit during breakfast or dinner. You can ask for an extra soup as well.
